Why is it called a footbag?
"Hacky Sack" is the name of the game coined by John Stallberger and Mike Marshall in 1972. The game gained popularity in the early 80's and was later registered as a trademark to the toy company Wham-O. "Footbag" is now the alternative name the community uses.
